As I begin to clean the old, dead, debris out of my gardens I know that I’m creating space for the fresh, new growth of spring. Late winter tends to be a blah time for me because I tend to hold on to emotional debris that is no longer supporting me. I am understanding through experience how releasing tension in the body helps the mind to let go as well. Moving, stretching and noticing where the energy gets stuck are the best ways to shift and support my inner landscape. As debris is cleared, light streams in. Creativity and enthusiasm begin to flow like sap in the trees and new possibilities emerge with the green of spring. A little bit of self care goes a long way, and is especially important during the transition between seasons. Introducing more movement is something to try if your "sap" is moving slowly.
